Sept. 2 – On the Road Again

By jayjazz · Comments (0)

“Nothing behind me, everything ahead of me, as is ever so on the road.” Jack Kerouac

After 15 long months of waiting and preparing, we and Lady T are on the move again, heading south for the next four weeks towards new places, unfamiliar faces and unknown possibilities.

Maybe Kerouac didn’t leave anything behind but we certainly have. Family and friends who give us a reason to return home. A day to day life that can often be monotonous and plain but is still our own. Coincidentally, Jack Kerouac was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts, our hometown, and although I can’t imagine growing up anywhere else, I often feel the same urgency to go. The allure of the open road never wanes…our desire to see and do more is persistent and overflowing.

No matter where we go, home will always be waiting for us. But for now, we are the mad ones. For now, we are on the road!

Magic Eraser Love

By jayjazz · Comments (0)
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015

Check out our latest DIY video starring Mr. Clean’s Magic Eraser!

We had previously tried cleaning our awning with a spray that we picked up at Camping World but it didn’t work very well. I have been using Magic Erasers since they were first introduced and I don’t know how people cleaned before them!

External Faucet/Shower Fixture Replacement

By jayjazz · Comments (0)
Friday, August 21st, 2015

A few weeks back, we were using the outside faucet/shower on Lady T while doing some maintenance and the water pump kept coming on every few minutes. We’ve come to realize that anytime you hear the pump growling and there isn’t any water running, it’s time to look for a leak! Doing just that, we shortly discovered a drip coming directly from underneath the external faucet compartment.

This was the first time we had used the faucet for more than a minute or two, so we spent some time figuring out how it was connected to the water system. Eventually, Jay found a leak coming from the faucet connectors to the water pipes. Fortunately, this was only occurring when the pump was on and the faucet was in use.

Jay removed the hoses and tried some plumbers tape but the leak persisted.  The videos below detail the replacement of the faucet fixture we purchased online.
